Under the auspices of the President, Dr V L Indira Dutt, Andhra Chamber of Commerce is organizing the awareness programme on Sustainability and ESG – A Background, for the benefit of its members.

In today’s context of global warming and societal imbalances, businesses are deeply intertwined with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) concerns. Every company affects, and is affected by, the environment. Every company has to operate within a diverse society, fosters labour relations and inclusivity. And every company is governed by an internal system of practices, controls, and procedures to make effective decisions, comply with the law, and meet the needs of external stakeholders. This programme seeks to address the various implications of ESG for companies and the need for adoption of best practices to keep abreast in the global race for survival.

Mr P S Kumar, Past President & Chairman ESG – Sub-committee, ACC, will elucidate on ESG for industry, followed by senior government officials who will address on ESG for MSMEs and ESG for the Pharma sector.
