Sub:  Programme on Launch of Africa Desk ,Wednesday 4 pm-5:30 pm,  January  24,2024  ; Dr V L Dutt Hall, Andhra Chamber of Commerce,Chennai- Hybrid mode

Under the auspices of the President, Dr. V. L. Indira Dutt and the Executive Committee, Andhra Chamber is organizing the above programme for the benefit of its members.

The ACC Foreign Trade Sub-Committee has taken this initiative of establishing a window for exploration of the African market as the continent currently presents huge opportunities for investments and trading. Currently, the bilateral trade between the two countries is about US$ 100 billion.  Businesses in both regions consider going beyond the target of US$ 200 billion in bilateral trade by 2030. In just 1 year it jumped to $98.billion in 2022-23 as compared to a sum of $89.6 billion the previous year.  It is reported that there are plenty of sectors in Africa that offer business opportunities but the most profitable industries to do business in are stated to be housing, waste management, Technology, retail and agriculture etc.
