Aim

Andhra Chamber of Commerce founded on August 17, 1928 is a voluntary organization registered under the Companies Act as a non-profit making body. The liability of the Members is limited. The principal objects of the Chamber are the promotion and protection of Industry and trade in India in general and in the States of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Tamil Nadu in particular.

Objects

The main objects of the Chamber are

• To aid, stimulate and promote the development of trade, commerce and industries in India.
• To watch over and protect the general commercial interests of India and more particularly the interests of businessmen engaged in trade, commerce or industry in the States of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Tamil Nadu.
• To consider and formulate opinions upon all questions connected with trade, commerce and manufactures and initiate or support necessary action in this behalf.
• To collect, classify and circulate statistics and other information relating to trade, commerce and industries.
• To urge or oppose by lawful means legislative and other measures affecting trade, commerce or manufactures and to procure change of law and practice affecting trade, commerce and manufactures and in particular those affecting commerce and industries in which businessmen are concerned and obtain by all rightful means the removal as far as possible of all grievances affecting businessmen as a body and business interests in general.
• To communicate with the Chambers of Commerce and other Commercial Bodies and Public Bodies throughout the world and concert and initiate measures for promotion and protection of trade, commerce, industries and manufactures.
• To maintain a Library of books and publications of commercial and industrial interest so as to diffuse knowledge and information amongst its Members and concert measures for advancing Commercial and Technical Education and such study of different branches of Art and Science as may tend to develop trade, commerce and industries in India.
• To adjust disputes or controversies between Members of the Chamber.
• To arbitrate in the settlement of disputes arising out of commercial transactions between parties willing or agreeing to abide by the judgment and decision of the Chamber.
• To establish just and equitable principles in trade, commerce and industry.
• To form a code or codes of practice to simplify and facilitate the transactions of commercial community.
• To maintain uniformity in rules, regulations and usages of trade.
